Glacier Guest House

Since the 2015 earthquake, we have been involved in Nepal, initially in the small village of Langtang in Langtang National Park. A landslide destroyed the village; only one house remains standing.

Langtang-Lodge

We organised and financed training for Dorje at the School of Hotel Management in Kathmandu. With a Higher Diploma in International Hotel and Tourism Management, Dorje planned to refurbish his parents’ lodge and generate income for himself and his family. That was the plan.

2015 Earthquake

The earthquake turned the charming village of Langtang into a desert; only a few survivors remained, including three young people who were in Kathmandu during the quake. Their parents are buried under the rubble; nothing remains of their house or the small lodge. We invested funds into their training, rebuilding, and expanding the lodge.

Guide/Porter House

We aim to provide separate accommodation for guides and porters, as local guides organising treks for larger groups prefer lodges with appropriate facilities.

The building materials are paid for and on-site.
